Finally on Pelee Island. Staying at the East Park Campground. Nice little campground. It was quiet but that could also be that the camp was pretty empty. Ya probably because it was empty. Just watch out later in the season as there are a lot of apple trees in the campground so some of the campsites are covered with fallen apples all over the ground.

Drove around the island and checked out the sights.

First up is Stone Road Alvar. An alvar is an area of thin topsoil over limestone bedrock.

Next up is Fish Point Provincial Nature Reserve. It has diverse wildlife and close to 15 percent of all Ontario plant species. The main reason I went here is it is the most southern point in Canada you can access by road.

As I was riding around the island I saw the ferry that brought me to the island.

One thing I noticed is my Gopro kept shutting off. The plug was in so my only theory is that the Gopro was overheating. I think being continually powered especially in the hot (30° C) weather causes the unit to overheat and shut down to protect itself.
